It’s not as fast acting as I was hoping, and it seems that not much is coming out of the spray at every squeeze. I have not been using it for the intended usage. Clearing the ice on the disk network antenna, the weather station and the outdoor cameras. May be there is a better product for my intended usage.

At first glance it would appear you can just rotate the ridged sprayer head to control it, but the recessed spray head doesn’t rotate, and you can’t control the spray flow from this bottle. There is a trigger lock on the bottle which at first I didn’t notice, it pushes to one side to unlock and pushes back to lock. The first day I tried using this there was a light breeze on a cold winter day, and I needed to hold the bottle constantly right up to the glass to get any of the fine mist to not just blow off and actually hit my windshield. It really didn’t seem to be doing much of anything, but I thought it was just cause more of it was blowing off then hitting my windshield. I tried it again on a non-windy single digit temp day. My windshield wasn’t frozen yet, and I decided to spray it as a protective measure to hopefully not have a frozen windshield when I got out of work. It didn’t prevent ice buildup on my windshield while I was working. I started up my car and sprayed some more on my frozen windshield and sat for minutes in my car waiting. It may have helped a little in comparison to just waiting for the defroster to clear it alone, but it wasn’t anywhere near as rapid as I would have expected. My final use of this product was another single digit day after getting out of work to another iced over windshield. I started my car, and this time took off the spray cap and just started pouring this over my windshield (remaining half a bottle.) While you could definitely see it soaking rapidly into the ice, and it did make it break apart and away faster, it just still didn’t melt away rapidly where the ice was thicker and took way too much of the product to have a reasonably notable effect.

This is better suited for frost than it is ice, that’s for sure. It simply didn’t make a dent in that ice in the photos. The car defroster was on it’s own. I really expected more for the price-point and the claims it makes. Works no better than the $5 aerosol spray bought locally.

I first tried this on a day when my windshield had just a thin layer of frosty ice and it took it off fine. But then I tried using my wiper fluid on my back window and it worked just as well. So, I waited until I had more stubborn ice on my windows and tried again. It’s hard to use if it’s windy because you have to hold it really close to the glass or most of it will blow away since it comes out in a fine mist. I let it sit on the windows for a minute and then tried scraping. The places I used the spray didn’t come off any easier than the places I didn’t. And in between uses, the bottle ended up leaking and I lost about half the product, so they need to design a better bottle. From what I can tell, my windshield wiper fluid works just as well and costs a lot less. It’s also easier to use because I don’t have to try to mist it all over my windshield. This might work okay on side mirrors, but not on windshields.

The windshield was covered with ice. After a few quick sprays the ice melted. It was like magic

I’ve used this several times now, it does a great job destroying ice off my windshield. I drive a large full size truck and it’s really hard to reach the whole windshield with an ice scraper. This product works great on it, a few sprays and a minute later my windshield is deiced. The on/off button on the sprayer took me a minute to figure out how to use, I was pushing it too far toward on and causing it to not spray. Never any issues since then. Doesn’t refreeze which is nice after you melt the ice.

This spray really works on ice. But this sprayer us awful. There is a little lock on it that is impossible to work if you are wearing gloves. But that doesn’t really matter since it doesn’t stay anyway. The twist top also comes loose very easily. And the spray bottle is hatd to squeeze when wearing gloves. Bthe bottle leaks, but I can’t tell uf tgat is because the top is alwats loose or if it would still leak if it were to stay tight. The liquid ends up all over my gloves making my hsnds even colder than they were to start with. I’d rather have ice on my windshield.

It’s not winter time yet so I haven’t used this product. If it’s anything like all the other Shine Armor products I have, it will work excellent at a reasonable price.
