I really can’t write much of a review for this product as I purchased it from the Warehouse and it was half gone when I got it. Unfortunately I didn’t realize that until it was too late. I figured I would DIY since my AC had been struggling to cool and found a good deal. I noticed upon reading the instructions it said to use the low port and I had two of them and wasn’t sure which one was which. I took my vehicle to Walmart Tire and one of the employees hooked it up and started spraying in the can. He said the can should get cold which it wasn’t doing so he stopped and tested the can and it was a little over half full. He told me to get another one of course thinking I purchased it at Walmart but I explained I purchased through Amazon. He unloaded the whole can and the AC is barely cooler than it was. Another issue, the can says to move the bottle at 12 and 3 and shake every few seconds. When you turn the can to do that stuff comes out the top of the can where you hold it down.

I can see why this product gets mixed reviews. The hose that connects the can to your vehicle’s low pressure port is the obvious point of failure. In my case the coupler that connects to the can didn’t attach securely. I see other reviewers complain that the connection to the low pressure port doesn’t seat properlyThat said, if you can get this product to work as intended, prepare for a potentially MAJOR improvement in your AC performance. In my case I went from blowing 64F at the vent to below freezing on a warm, sunny day. That’s a nearly 50F temperature differential compared to the outside temp. Pretty CRAZY! It’s worth mentioning that my AC is larger than OEM, so you may not see this much improvement.Verdict: If this kit came with a better hose, I’d definitely give it five stars. As sold, it was fickle, and I also suspect the gauge reads inaccurately. Fortunately, I was able to make it work, and I’m sure this saved me a couple hundred bucks over having a profession perform this repair. Your experience may differ but at this price point it’s worth the gamble.

My car’s AC seemed to be going out at the end of last summer (only stayed cool when idling and had a hollow, whisper kind of sound). Hoping it was just low fluid, having never needing to top of the AC fluid on my 2005 car, I wanted to try this before taking it to a costly mechanic. Glad I did, as my AC is working great now. While I didn’t do this myself, I was right there while by niece’s boyfriend kindly took care of my need (I did watch a how-to video to try myself if the need arised). He had no issues with connections or leaking, nor with any gauge problems. When connected, however, the can barely reached the top of the engine, which is needed to be at least there to read the gauge (note: my car is sized between a compact and medium sized sedan- closer to compact sized of that scale). It also wound up with the gauge ending up on the opposite side of of the can that faced him. He ended up having to look up and over the can to watch the gauge (viewing it upside down).Ended up only needing 3/4 of the fluid, so he stored it away for any future needs.

Had my wife get this for me. This product is awesome. We have a 2011Honda fit. When I checked how much freon I had before filling. It actually was in blue area where it says filled. It was almost at the point where it’s going to be low. So I shook can as it says. I connected hose to can then connected to low side hose. But before I did all this. Made sure vehicle was warmed up Had ac blowing max speed. Then I had can upright. Pushed the little trigger and let freon go in. Do not put a whole lot in at one time when you push trigger. Just a little bit at a time. Holding trigger to long you might over fill it. Just when you push it, let off turn can turn to the right at about 3 o’clock position it will relieve some pressure. Check gauge see if in blue area. I kept doing it until I was at almost the top of blue. My car is 45 degrees maybe a little lower….the ones having trouble doing this if you follow my directions this will work for you. I’m not an expert but this works good, the way I did it. The gauge is accurate as someone says it’s not. Just remember after you push freon in. Turn can to right at about 3 oclock position where some pressure does release. Then check gauge…. By me doing it this way it works well. My wife is happy now. Like they say Happy wife Happy life. Trust me she’s happy now. Thanks. Kevin

I had to find instructions on how to use one of these things on Youtube before doing it on my own car.The gauge that comes with the can is pretty much useless, so I had to resort to ‘weighing’ the can before and during charging to know exactly how much refrigerant I’d used in the can to make sure that I wasn’t overcharging my a/c system.I used this on a 1998 Honda Civic with a slow leak and now the AC is blowing super cold again. So if you have a car with AC that blows warm air and you have about 15 minutes to spare. Get one of this and you’ll be happy you did.

This is a simple can that will help top off your car when it’s low on freon. Just make sure you understand how to use it properly! Watch a few online videos and make sure you’re not overcharging the ac unit. The can looks awesome and with that little gauge, it helps you understand what is actually going on.The cord is a little short but that is the standard length on most similar cans.

Exactly what my old truck needed! It’s been a little warm in my 97 F150 and I haven’t been feeling confident about adding Freon but this product came with a gauge, was easy to use and worked perfect. Now I have delicious cold air for the rest of the summer!
