I bought this to refill the transmission fluid in my 2008 Mercedes C300 4matic. Unfortunately Mercedes decided not to put a dipstick in this transmission so the only way to perform a transmission service is using a pump like this to push fluid in through the drain plug on the transmission pan.This kit had the correct adapter for my 722.9 transmission (even labeled as such) and after a little assembly did a great job filling my transmission!My only real gripe is that the container is smaller than I expected so I had to fill, pump, and then fill the container a few times. But, that’s a small gripe compared to how much easier this kit makes the job! Well worth the price and I’ll be using it every 39000 miles!

What takes transmission fluid change a major pain in the buns? I guess the refill through a tiny dipstick tube.Well no more of that!Install proper drain plug adapter (provided) fill the can with proper fluid and pump away. When the can is empty, close the valve, refill the can, and pump again. When done close the valve, but do not disconnect the hose. Unscrew the adapter and reinstall the plug quickly, so not to lose new fluid. Done!DO NOT ATEMPT TO UNSCREW THE TOP OF THE CAN, READ INSTRUCTION!

Pros:- Comes with fittings for multiple vehicles. This is the best part of this kit.- Sturdy enough for the home mechanic using it a few times a year.- Pressure gage is a nice feature to keep track of pressure in bottle and not over pump.- Shut off valve that attaches to fittings is good quality (metal, not plastic)Cons:- The large cap is not removable. It’s glued to the bottle. Filling is done from the small cap. There is no way to physically clean the bottle so I plan to use it only for clean ATF and keep it sealed between uses to prevent contamination. I may want to “rinse” with new ATF when changing between ATF types.- There are no volume markings on the bottle at all. Would have liked quart and liter markings to assist with tracking fill qty. I removed the label from the bottle and added my own markings using known quantities of ATF.- ATF pan fittings are plastic so you need to be gentle with them when threading on and filling. Again this is not a professional tool.- Price is a little high for what it is but there are similar ones that cost more.Overall, I’m happy with this kit. If your car requires “bottom filling” of ATF, it makes the job as easy as it can be. Sure, you can use a $10 transfer pump or even a small garden sprayer but this tool is an improvement over those. The best part is that fittings are provided to fit multiple vehicles. I’ve used it once so far but it will come in handy for other vehicles I plan to service.
