I decided to put this additive in my ’77 F250 that has a bored out 429. My reasoning for usage is mainly for added peace of mind, as temps in Phoenix get to 110+. The cooling system is stock on the truck and for the most part seems adequate, sans really hot days when the needle will often creep above the halfway mark. The main reason I chose Kool-It over anything else has been my success with Lubegard products, and that this product doesn’t contain a silicone compound. I’ve used another product by Redline and while it does lower temps, the silicate causes a grime buildup in the cooling system.Since adding the Kool-it I haven’t seen the temp gauge go above the halfway mark, it’s been about 3 months now. No grime either. I will certainly keep using this product in my old big block Ford.

This products works very well as have been using for years in my vehicles. I just purchase some for my class C motorhome. Going north on I-5 around the Mt. Shasta summit my temperature gauge went up alittle for the first time I have had this vehicle. Now I am heading back to that area this year so I wanted alittle more protection since this time it will be during summer time. I have used lubegard products in a professional environment for years and have had great success.

I used this additive per the instructions. According to my OBD2 machine, I got maybe a 13-degree drop in the coolant temp. Honestly, I was expecting a lot more than that. As far as the other features I’m pretty sure it’s working or at least I hope it is. I can’t say that I don’t recommend this additive but I also don’t believe it’s the best one.

I used this on a older SUV that has 186K . I did some major work on the engine and installed a new radiator. I wanted to bring the overall engine temperature ????️ down a little from where it was and it worked perfectly. It was not overheating or anything. I just knew if I added this product, it would drop the temperature right where I wanted it to be. Works great for the price.

Not sure what to think about this stuff. It didn’t work for my application, but I’m not saying it won’t in other engines.

So, a real-world test for you.Drove my car for about 20 minutes yesterday. Was overcast, and temps were about 70 degrees. After a spirited driving session with several wide-open-throttle runs, the coolant topped at 194 degrees.Today, exact same test, BUT it was five degrees WARMER outside, with the sun shining. And after adding the Lubeguard 96001 Kool-It Supreme Coolant Treatment:Coolant topped at 177 degrees during this session. So, factoring in the ambient temps, this product dropped the temperature of my coolant ABOUT 22 degrees under very similar circumstances. So it goes on my “buy again” list !!Brilliant!!!

Can’t tell that it made that much difference, I replaced the radiator and hoses at the same time. I added the proper amount per the directions, shortly after adding it we towed our camper and had no issues, on the way back however the brand new thermostat stuck closed and the truck nearly overheated. Lost some coolant replacing it and not sure how much of this stuff stayed in the system.

After removing the required amount i added 2 bottles to the recovery container on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and the temp dropped by 8 to 9 degrees on a very hot day. Normally it would hit 130° and then the fans would take it down but now it never reaches 130°. I am satisfied with this product.
